Treats for Hot Days

If your pooch is feeling the heat, it may be worth trying out some of these fabulous treats. Best of all they are healthy, homemade and icy-cool!

Peanut Butter Pops

Put 3 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter into a bowl and stir in 400ml of water to loosen the consistency. Pour into an ice-cube tray and freeze.

Kcal/s 100g : 140, Protein : 11%, Fat: 18%

Apple Pops

In a measuring jug, mix equal quantities of apple juice and water. Pour into an ice-cube tray and freeze.

Kcal/s 100g : 30, Protein : 2%, Fat: 0%

Frozen Fruity Treats (Oscar’s favourite!)

As a variation of the above recipe, pop blueberries, chopped strawberries and/or raspberries into each section and freeze.

Kcal/s 100g : 30, Protein : 2%, Fat: 0%

Frozen Banana Treats

Peel and then chop up a ripe banana. Put the slices on a plate or baking tray and put into the freezer. Once frozen, transfer them to a plastic bag and return to the freezer to use as and when required.

Kcal/s 100g : 95, Protein : 1%, Fat: 0%
